I got my salary yesterday and it's all gone today. Isn't that just a bitch?

I had two weeks off this summer, and as it stands I don't get paid when I'm not working, and now we're getting the backlash... The bills has just piled up and we're always short of money... Every fucking month... I was thinking of trying to get more to do to get more money, but then I've to consider my family as well. I can't be only work and no fun... But if I have to, then I'll do it for a short period.

When it comes to my current job here at the office, it's only out this year and I'm out of a daytime job and that sucks.
As I mentioned yesterday, I've started looking for a new job and hopefully I'll get one soon. I'm not stressing it as it won't get me very far, but I take one day at a time and generally hope for the best.

Irreplaceable

I had a chat with my bosses yesterday and they actually told me that I wasn't irreplaceable. I know I'm not at my best at times, but it's still not fun to get those words spit in your face! In the world of geekdom, this kind of tactic is called FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt). They give me their reason to make me work harder to not lose my job. I'm uncertain if I should keep on working here under these circumstances...

On of them told me that he wouldn't hesitate to replace me with another if he felt it was neccecary and all I could think was: "Fuck you asshole!". But I kept on smiling and telling them that I was gonna give it my best shot and keep up the pressure to finish the job.
Anyway... I've started looking for another job, but the marked isn't the best at the moment...

One of my former employers didn't pay me what I was supposed to get, so I quit. My son was on the way and I had to get a job that paid.
The bastard didn't really like the fact that I quit, so he started spreading shit about me to the other fellas at work and I didn't like that. I busted him with his pants down when I confronted him with the facts about his lies and totally freaked.
After this incident, we've hated each other like cats and dogs and we've had a fight about the money ever since. I've got a courtruling saying they owe me a lot of money, but now the company has declared itself bankrupt.
On top of this... They claim I got paid last year, which I certainly didn't, and have reported this to the authorities. Now I've to pay taxes on money I've never recieved and I don't like that... I contacted the authorities and they said that the only documentation they accepted was a withdrawal from the said company. I don't fancy talking to them because of the hate I feel and contacted my lawyer. He too, was reluctant to help, if I didn't pay him, which I will(I think)... I'll have to think about this for a while. We're a bit short on money for the moment...
Now, I really don't know what to do... I've thought about contacting the lawyers with the bankrupt estate and ask them to withdraw the statement, but I don't know if it'll help.

Well, actually.. I haven't done shit today... Helped a friend out for almost two hours with his server that didn't work as it should've and that was after he'd switched DNS servers to me.
I tried the best I could, but he was just getting more and more pissed off as time went by and at the same time he was in a great hurry and I guess that stressed him as well.
He eventually gave up, but called me back a few minutes later telling me he'd gotten another friend to help him out. As far as I could tell, everything looked just right, so there must've been something he'd done wrong. I think he's one of those persons that hate to admit they're wrong :)

Here I am, sitting at my desk at work and am bored to death. There are so many places I'd rather be right now and one of them is actually in my warm bed at home sleeping the day away. It does have a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

The new car is working just as expected, but the one thing I really don't like about brand new cars is the "new-car-smell"... if you know what I mean... Hopefully a few farts will help :) I even considered getting one of those Wunderbaum things, but let the idea go since those things stink like hell if one is not careful...

Anyhoo! I just bought a new car for myself today. It's a Citroën Berlingo van, 2004 mod. I've traded it with my well used Peugeot 206 from 2000 :) I got it for a nice price as the father of a friend of mine works at the shop :) I just love these connections...

Well, I'll get my car next Friday and I really can't wait...

13 years ago, on this day, August 8th, I moved from the hellhole of a hometown and all the way to the capitol city. What a relief that was. Except for the fact that I was so damn hung over I almost puked my ass off in the cab from the airport. It was a hot and humid day and I wasn't really used to that :)
Anyhoo! I'm really glad I moved and I've had a blast in all these years. Met a lot of nice people (girls) *grin* and spent all my money on beer the whole first year. And after that year, I met my wife and we've been together since. Life is just great :)
Guess I'll have to celebrate when I've been here 15 years... 13 isn't really a number :)

Musically insane

Just when I thought my songs couldn't get any better, they did just that last night... Oh Your God! We added a few cool guitar stuff/riffs to the two songs and it lifted both the songs to another level. I'm really amazed of how good my producer really is... He is a genious when it comes to details and creating great songs.

He'll be trying to get them mixed down to a listening version at the end of this week, and I really, really can't wait to hear the final product. They're two different songs, but still two very strong songs on their own and I've never sung better that I've this time. The last time I recorded I was quite a newbie and also very nervous, but this time it all went exeptionally well.

So, hang in there for another great release from Steeg!

After almost 4 years of silence, I've once again decided to head back into the studio and record another few songs for everyones pleasure. My friend, the producer, is a genious and is helping me a lot with creating my innermost emotions through the music and he has a great feel for what I want. The two lyrics I've written will most likely be recorded the way I wrote them...

Hectic

It's been a hectic week... My wife and son has been away and I've, as usual, haven't been to bed until really late every night. I'm really looking forward to seeing them again and get a good hug from both of them ;)

Anyhoo, I've been watching a lot of Star Trek these past months, but now it's almost all over. Saw the last episode of Deep Space 9 yesterday and all I'm waiting for now is the continuation of the new series, Enterprise. It got better the last season and I now want to know how they'll fix all the trouble that is going on in that universe.

Ok, got this phonecall, a bad one perhaps, from my wife. She told me she had crashed the brand new car we bought recently... After a bit of talking it came to pass that the damage wasn't all that bad... All that had happened was that the licenceplate had fallen off. Phew! What a relief :)

Anyhoo, I think we're in for a rough ride these days. So many stupid things has happened lately. Argh!

Gotta get up and try again. Isn't that what "they" say :)

It does pay off II

So, we had to repair a little on the Peugeot about a month ago. There was a small problem with the engine only working on three sylinders and that kind of took the fun out of driving. I went to the reseller and they told me it would actually cost money to fix this problem and I thought "No, this can't be right!".
Come on, the car is just over three years old and there should never be a problem with the engine! So I thought "OK, let them fix the damn thing and I'll kick ass later". And so I did.

The bill was kind of expensive, so I wrote a letter to the boss and told him a little about our experience with the car since it was a newborn little car. A few, small things now and then, but most of that was covered with the three-year warranty that came with the car. Ofcourse, the bad things had to begin after the three years had passed. The most expensive things... Anyhoo! I wrote him a letter and asked if they would consider presenting me with a new bill with the magical zero number on it. I waited for almost a month and still hadn't heard a thing from them and I sent the boss a mail asking for a response. He told me he'd never recieved my letter and asked it I could fax it over to him. Nope, I made a PDF of the document and mailed it to him and a few days later he called me and told me that I could forget about the bill. Man, was I happy :) We're talking about a lot of money and I really couldn't afford it. I thanked him fullheartedly and wished him a happy day and hung up.

So goes the tale of what pays off, if you dare to question the big guys.

Broadband; The best thing ever!

My broadbandsupplier just raised the speed in (download) last week instead of raising their prices. I just love this stuff :)

When I hit a really good server, I'm now able to download with a speed of over 300KB/s and I must say that I'm really, really happy about this. After having broadband since January 1999, I've become a "speedfreak", so to speak. I just can't get enough speed. The next thing I'd like to see is a raise in speed on the upload side. Hopefully it'll happed one day. Can't exclude the possibilty :)

So, I've bought myself a Mac

OK, this one is kind of funny... I went surfing around on one of those online auctions and found an old Mac I kind of liked and placed a stupid bid on it just for fun... I do that just to feel that I'm doing some shopping now and then. Just the feel of having money makes me feel a little better, except this time I really do have to pay for it :)
It's an old Mac, PowerMac 8600 / 250 MHZ with 17" monitor, but as I really don't know much about these machines, it may turn out to be a learning period for me. I've always wanted one, just to get the feel for them and perhaps broaden my knowledge a bit... To put something new on my resume :)

Anyways, I'm picking it up tomorrow after work and perhaps spend a few hours tinkering with it and installing OS9 on it. May even turn out to be fun :) Next thing I want is a Sun SparcStation or something like that. I'll just have to wait a bit for the money to start rolling in :D

New car this morning

Well, we finally picked up the new car this morning. As I said yesterday, it's been hell with only one car and now we're finally whole :)

There is a 3 month used car warrant on the car, so I guess we'll have to drive the car a bit to find anything before the 3 months are over... Just to get the repairs for free. The salesman is a really nice guy, so I'm hoping it won't be any problems with anything.

Oh... I got paid today :) I'M RICH!!!! Not really, but it still feels good to have money again :D

We've been in dire need for a second car for over a month already and it's been hell with only one... My wife will finally be able to pick up our son from the kindergarden instead of relying on friends to help out and that's a relief.
The exciting moment will be to see how much this car will cost for insurance :) I hope it'll be lower than the old car... I bet it is, so well save a little there as well.

I told my wife last night I was going over to a friend to deliver a few CDs. It wouldn't take long, I said and came home a round 01:15...

My wifey was a little pissed at me because I didn't inform her of my decicion to stay long. She didn't think a "short while" was the time I came home. I can see her point.
What I don't understand is why she even bothers getting pissed at me for staying out late on a workingday. It will only hurt me and me alone. Actually... I'm dead tired today..hmm, I wonder why ;)

If for nothing else, I just want to say how bad a day this seems to become. The sun is shining, the weather is good, my son is alive and so is my wife, but the headache! Damnit, the demon of all bad things... ARGH!

The worst part is that my uncle is plagued with the same thing and have been for many years. Perhaps it's mostly a mental thing... perhaps I want to have this headache almost every day, to feel bad about myself and my life, or perhaps I just want more attention, or I just want to be left the fuck alone.
I honestly don't know. All I know is that this thing is fucking bad and I want it to go away.

I thought (ouch) that I for once would come to work and find the other desks occupied by my fellow workers this morning. No matter how late I get to work, it seems I'm always the first.

I came to work at about 9:45 and was still the first one!

The same thing happened at an other job I had a few years back. I was the _only_ one to show up "in time", every day. All the others came in a lot later...

Oh well... I'll get paid someday :)

New car

Oh well, I went to a cardealer to try out a 2000 Kia Shuma the other day for consideration as my new car. It so happened that my wife liked the car so much I just had to give it to her...

So now I'm stuck with the Peugeot, as it is a fine car, and she gets a new one. Sucks, doesn't it :)

I'll just have to spend a few grand fixing it and then I'll consider getting rid of it and getting a bigger car. Preferably a Volvo V70 ;)

So, there it is. The news of a brand new used car, that I bought for my wife.

Crash Dummies... Continued... I got a phonecall today regarding the crash I was involved in the other day and he told me I'd get a certain amount of cash for the wreck. I told him it wasn't enough and called my daddy :)

And that certainly paid off. We came out with a little more than we actually paid for the car and I'd say that that is a pretty good deal :)

So, now I'm off to get a new car, and I've been thinking about getting one of those Smart cars. My main concern now is fuelconsumption, and I hope this car will meet my needs :)

We've loved the car, but there has been a lot of small things happening to the car throughout the years and luckily most of them was handeled by the warranty.

Crashtest dummies

I own an old Mitsubishi Galant and this old car needed some fixing... It cost med a hell of a lot of money and I was fortunate enough to crash the car about a week and a half after the repairs... A dude drove right into me and smashed both the doors on the left side of the car.
Luckily for me it was his fault, so it won't cost me anything. The bad thing about all this is that I wasted so much money on the car and it is now probable that the car will be condemned... Argh!

The good news is that I'll probably get some money back from the insurance and I'll just have to get a "new" car... The car is due to be assessed tomorrow and I'll post more when I know more.

The weather is kind of nice and I've to sit inside and work for some people that'll make a hell of a lot more money than I'll ever do, and I think it stinks...

I just wish I had something better to do, perhaps something that'd give me a lot more cash to spend :) But I really don't think it'll happen any time soon, so I'd better get a grip and start being a good boy and give the bosses the money they want.
